What a glorious fall day it was today.I can't remember a better November 1st.
I just read CCC-girl's (the first C stands for California) blog about her garden work at Dad's place. She has made terrific progress! I wish we had taken before and after pictures of the yard before we spent all day in it. General pre-winter cleaning -- with major grape ivy pulling off the exterior walls and out of the gutters by Super Deluxe Boyfriend. While Paul was completing his sisyphean -- no ...herculean (Paul worked all afternoon and really accomplished a lot!) task, I cleaned up the brick pile that has been in my side yard for these long 9 years. Boy, do my cheeks (and I don't mean the ones on my face) ache! Lifting four bricks at a time and moving them to a different spot in the yard -- for about 300 bricks.
More gardening on Monday since I'm taking the day off! Yippeeee! Playing hookie from school is sweeter when you're the teacher!
